Saudi Arabia denies report about corpse dragging

By Our Correspondent

RIYADH, May 2: A Saudi official announcement has categorically denied a report that the corpses of an American, and another person killed in Yanbu incident on Saturday were dragged on the street.

"The report is absolutely false and baseless," said an official source. An American, a Canadian and a Pakistani were wounded in the attack, the statement said.

The Jeddah-based Pakistani community welfare officer, Mr Abdul Aziz Uqaili, visited Yanbu on Sunday. He identified the wounded Pakistani as Mahmood Akhtar and said that he was out of danger.

AFP adds: Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz warned after Saturday's attacks that the authorities would crush terrorists who, he said were manipulated by "Zionism".
