Youngsters to get chance: Inzamam

By Our Sports Correspondent

LAHORE, April 28: Pakistan captain Inzamamul Haq said on Wednesday that the training camp for the three- nation tournament in Malaysia will be held here from May 15.

Talking to reporters at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), Inzamam said that since some cricketers are unavailable because of commitments with English counties, a few of the youngsters would get opportunities to represent the country in Malaysia.

The tournament, involving Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the hosts is scheduled to begin from May 27. He said that those youngsters who did not play in the home series against India, despite giving good performances at the domestic level for the last two or three seasons, would be preferred.

He said that Rana Naveed-ul-Hasan, Umar Gul and others had a good chance to perform in Malaysia. He said that the team would leave for Malaysia on May 22 and would have a break of five days before the start of the tournament. Inzamam said that he had no differences with any players and such rumours always started circulating whenever the Pakistan team lost.
