KARACHI, April 28: An Alam Procession known as "Chup Tazia" will be taken out from Nishtar Park on Thursday at 0630 hours and after passing through the traditional route terminate at Noor Bagh Musafir-Khana Moosa Lane, Karachi.

The route of Chup-Tazia procession will be as under:- Nishtar Park/ Shah Nawaz Bhutto Road/Father Jaminis Road/M.A.Jinnah Road/ Mansfield street/ Preedy street Again M.A. Jinnah Road/ Boulton Market/ Bombay Bazar/ Market Road/ Mahabat Khanji Road/ Atma Ram Pritam Das Road to Moosa Lane/ Noor Bagh Musafir Khana where the procession will terminate after holding Majlis.

As soon as the procession starts from Nishter Park all vehicular traffic coming from city side will be diverted on to Soldier Bazar Road from the Junction of M.A. Jinnah Road/ Dr Dawoodpota Road.

All traffic on Soldier Bazar Road from its junction with Dr Daudpota road up to its junction with Khan Bahadur Naqi Muhammad Khan Road shall flow one way. All traffic coming from Nazimabad side will be diverted onto Nishter Road towards Zoological Garden.

Likewise, traffic coming from Liaquatabad side will be diverted onto Martin Road towards jail side. These vehicles shall, however, be permitted to proceed up to jail and shall proceed via Jamshed Road, Dada Bhoy Noorji Road, Kashmir Road, Shahrah-i-Quaideen, Shara-i-Faisal up to Gora Qabristan ad ten via Mubarak Shaheed Road, Iqbal Shaheed Road, Lucky Star, Sarwar Shaheed Road, Dr Daudpota Road, Preedy Street to their normal route.

When the head of the procession reaches the junction of M.A Jinnah Road/ Mansfield Street these vehicles shall proceed straight for 602 EME Workshop, Mubarak Shaheed Road, Iqbal Shaheed Road, Lucky Star, Sarwar Shaheed Road, Fatima Jinnah Road, Maulana Wafai Road (Old Stratchen Road), Dr Ziauddin Ahmed Road, M.A. Jinnah Road till the situation permits when these vehicles shall be diverted onto I.I. Chundrigar Road from the junction of Court Road/ M.R. Kiyani Road.

Similarly, traffic approaching city from Stadium Road side shall proceed via M.A Jinnah Road. These vehicles shall be diverted at DadaBhoy Noorji Road towards Kashmir Road from its junction with New M.A.Jinnah Road/Link Road behind Mazar Quaid-e-Azam.

All Trucks, Buses, Minibuses approaching from superhighway side shall be diverted from al-Azam Square towards Chowrangi No.2 Nazimabad and shall proceed along Estate Avenue Road, Shershah to Mauripur Road. For return journey these vehicles shall proceed via the some route.

All buses, minibuses and trucks approaching from National Highway side shall proceed via Rashid Minhas Road, Stadium Road, Sir Shah Muhammad Suleman Road, Hassan Square, Liaquatabad No 10, Nazimabad Chowrangi No.2 Habib Bank Manghopir Road, Estate Avenue Road, Shershah, Mauripur Road. For return journey these vehicles shall also adopt the same route.

All car traffic shall not be permitted to proceed towards the route of the procession from Guru Mandir Light Signal. These vehicles shall be diverted onto Bahadur Yar Jang Road and again onto Khan Bahadur Naqi Muhammad Khan Road, Under no circumstances, These vehicles shall be permitted to proceed along soldier Bazar Road from the junction of Khan Bahadur Naqi Muhammad Khan Road/ Bahadur Yar Jang Road.

All cars coming from Quaid-i-Azam Mazar side along M.A.Jinnah Road will be diverted towards Bahadur Yar Jang Road. No vehicular traffic will be permitted to proceed towards Old Exhibition light signal under any circumstances.

All vehicular traffic approaching Old Exhibition via Shahre-e-Quaideen (except those arriving for participating or Ziarat of the procession i.e essential services vehicles) shall not be allowed to proceed from the intersection of Shahare-e-Quaideen/link Road Behind Mazar-i-Quaid. No Bus/Minibus/ Trucks will be permitted to proceed beyond this roundabout towards Old Exhibition.

All traffic going towards Saddar and other colonies will not be permitted to proceed towards Empress Market from the following intersection, when the head of the procession reaches near the crossing of M.A.Jinnah Road/Mansfield Street.

Preedy Street/ Sarmad Road, Preedy Street/ M.A.Jinnah Road, Sharah-e-Liaquat/ Court Road, Shahrah-e-Liaquat/ Mohammad Bin Qasim Road. Similarly, all vehicular traffic proceeding towards Saddar via M.A. Jinnah Road side shall not be permitted to proceed from its junction with preedy street and no vehicular traffic shall be permitted to proceed towards M.A. Jinnah Road from the junction of M.A. Jinnah Road (Preedy Street) when the procession clears this intersection.

The vehicular traffic on Agha Khan Road from Zoological Garden side shall not be permitted to proceed forwards M.A. Jinnah Road/Agha Khan Road intersection.

The diversion of buses, minibuses and other heavy traffic shall start well in advance whereas the car traffic shall be diverted as soon the procession starts formation. No Vehicles shall be permitted to park along the route of the procession and the route will be kept clear from all parking and other obstructions. - APP
