HYDERABAD, April 27: The third convocation of the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences would be held on May 10, the university registrar announced on Monday. He said that Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad, who was also chancellor of the LUMHS, would be chief guest on the occasion.

The MBBS and BDS graduates of 2,002 and 2,003 batches, postgraduates of different disciplines and nursing graduates of 2,004 will be awarded degrees and diplomas in the convocation. Last date for registration has been fixed as April 26.

SU POSITION HOLDERS: The controller of examinations, University of Sindh, on Monday announced the names of position holders in MSc, criminology, final semester examination, 2,002. Sharjil, son of A.R. Kharal, secured first position, Junaid Akbar Shah, son of Mohammad Hussain Shah, second and Mehmood Ahmed Qureshi, son of Basheer Ahmed Qureshi, secured third position.

WEBSITE LAUNCHED: The Dr Khan Mohammad Panhwar Trust launched its website here on Monday. The website has been developed by Sarang Latif Panhwar, son of the late Dr Panhwar, founder of Department of Mass Communication, University of Sindh, and Sindh Goth Sudhar Sangat.

SPSF-SB: The Sindh People's Students' Federation (Shaheed Bhutto) has denied any involvement in any dispute in an educational institution of Sindh and claimed that it believed in peace at the campuses.
