BAHAWALPUR, April 23: Some of the legal heirs to the property of late Nawab Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi have demanded postponement of the auction of the left-over articles and Rolls Royce cars.

It is learnt here on Friday that the heirs had handed over their applications to the distribution committee chairman, Justice Abdul Qadeer Chaudhry (retired), and sub-committee head Mrs Irum Qureshi, who is the EDO (revenue), claiming that they didn't get sufficient time to go through the inventories of the articles recovered from the Sadiqgarh Palace.

They sought more time for perusal of these lists of the left-overs scheduled to be auctioned on April 25. When contacted, Mrs Qureshi told Dawn that the request of the legal heirs was being considered by the distribution committee and Safron.

Earlier, the committee had included the fleet of the late Nawab's Rolls Royce in the lists prepared for auction among the heirs and their descendants. Mrs Qureshi said a final decision on the pleas of the heirs would be taken today (Saturday).
