KARACHI, April 22: The Sindh government has planned to build a CID complex in the city and three town complexes for the Capital City Police in Saddar, Gulshan-i-Iqbal and Jamshed Quarters.

This was stated by the adviser to chief minister on home affairs, Aftab Ahmed Shaikh, while talking to newsmen after presiding over a meeting on Thursday. The meeting was held to review the progress report of schemes under Annual Development Programme 2003-04.

Mr Shaikh said that an allocation of Rs99.898 million had already been made in the budget for these projects. "The construction of CID complex would cost Rs51.452 million while Rs48.446 million would be spent on three town police complexes," he said adding that Rs15 million have been released this year to begin the work. -PPI
