KARACHI: Rich tribute paid to Ahmed Raza Khan

KARACHI, April 18: The history cannot ignore the revolutionary role played by Imam Ahmad Raza Barelvi in the Pakistan Movement and Muslims could never achieve Pakistan if he had not protected the two nation theory.

These views were expressed by speakers at a conference organized by Idara-i-Tehqiqat Imam Ahmad Raza on Saturday. Paying tributes to Imam Ahmed Raza, the speakers recalled the contribution of the eminent scholar for promoting education on modern lines alongwith Islamic ideology and faith.

The conference, which was presided over by Sahibzada Syed Wajahat Rasool Quaderi, highlighted his valuable services for the religion and the Ummah. Prof Shah Turabul Haq Quaderi was the key-speaker and Sindh Population Welfare Minister Imtiaz Ahmad Shaikh was the chief guest at the conference.

The minister said that Imam Ahmad Raza was a revolutionary personality of the sub-continent and the overall Muslim world. Among others, Maulana Sohabt Khan, Prof Anwar Shoaib, Dr Hafiz Atta-ur-Rehman Quaderi, Dr Majeedullah Quaderi, Prof Abuzar Wajidi and Allama Mufti Syed Shah Hussain Gardezi presented their papers on different aspects of the life of Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza.
