DOHA, April 12: Eleven Russian employees of a Russian energy services firm have been kidnapped in Baghdad, the pan-Arab Al-Jazeera satellite channel said late on Monday, quoting an official at the firm in Moscow.
Two Iraqi guards "may have been killed during an armed confrontation with the kidnappers," Al-Jazeera's Moscow correspondent quoted the official as saying. The station identified the firm as the "Russian International Company for Energy Services," saying the 11 worked for its branch in Baghdad. -AFP
