KARACHI, April 7: A young man's body was found in a gunny bag near a mosque in Lyari on Wednesday. Police said that the bag was dumped near Masjid-i-Khizra in Miran Naka locality. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital for autopsy. The victim was identified as Manzoor Hussain, 25, who got married three months back.

Police said Manzoor had left his home in Kalakot three days back and had not return since. The body bore torture marks and there was a noose around the neck which suggested that he might have been kidnapped, subjected to torture and strangled, according to the police.

SHOT DEAD: A truck driver was shot at by dacoits near Gulshan-i-Maymar, off Super Highway. The victim, Aurangzeb, died of excessive bleeding as police disputed over the jurisdiction.

His truck was intercepted by dacoits, but on his resistance, the dacoits shot at him and fled. Aurangzeb, somehow, informed the Madadgar 15. Sohrab Goth police arrived at the scene but concluded that it does not fall in their jurisdiction. They intimated the Surjani Town police who arrived at the scene about an hour later. The victim had died owing to excessive bleeding by that time.
