KARACHI, April 2: City Nazim Naimatullah Khan has directed the EDO water and sanitation department to take immediate measures for provision of water to Ali Mohammad Mohallah in Lyari Town.

This step has been taken after receiving reports of water scarcity in the area.

Town Nazim Lyari Abdul Khaliq Juma held a meeting with the City Nazim, Naimatullah Khan, in his office on Friday to inform him about the sufferings of the people due to water shortage.

It was decided that Ali Mohallah would be supplied water by setting up a new pumping stations from alternate water lines.

The City Nazim directed the chief engineer of the water board to ensure supply of water to the area by completing all the work within 15 days.

The City Nazim agreed to inaugurate the new pumping station and water lines on the desire of Nazim Lyari Town and area people.-PPI
