HARIPUR, March 31: The leader of the opposition in the NWFP Assembly, Shahzada Gustasap Khan, has said that although he needed only nine members to dislodge the MMA's government
, but the inner discord within the religious alliance indicated that the opposition's objective would soon be achieved.
Speaking to newsmen here on Tuesday evening, Gustasap Khan said: "Although we are not in a hurry to see our objectives achieved, but the elements of disharmony and inner strife between the religious allies would soon turn the circumstances in our favor."
Shahzada Gustasap Khan said that the government of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal had distanced itself from its stated position, and its members were busy in securing their personal interests, and the government was least bothered about the problems of the people who were exposed to many miseries.
Mr Gustasap also said that the religious alliance was focusing more on irrelevant affairs than the constitutional obligations of legislation, which resulted in nothing for the people except disenchantment and woes.
