SUKKUR: 4 killed in clash

SUKKUR, March 30: Four persons were killed and eight others injured in an armed clash between Chachar and Sabzoi tribesmen in Golimar area, Kandhkot, on Tuesday morning.

Those killed were identified as Bakhshal Chachar, Abdul Jabbar Chachar, Mir Mohammad Sabzoi and Punhal Sabzoi. The injured, including Imamuddin Chachar, Azizullah Chachar, Mushtaq Chachar and Yakoob Chachar, were taken to the Kandhkot Civil Hospital. The reason behind the clash is said to be a dispute over land.

SOCIETY: People's Party Parliamentarians MNA and Sukkur Blood and Drugs Donating Society chairman Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah has appealed to the well-to-do to extend cooperation in social services to serve the ailing humanity.

Addressing the annual function of the society here on Sunday, he observed that those who serve humanity, not only please Allah Almighty, but achieve eternal life.

Speaking on the occasion, District Nazim Syed Nasir Shah said the district government would extend cooperation to the society in increasing its health facilities and promised to provide it an ultrasound machine.

Sukkur High Court Bar Association president Imdad Awan announced a grant of Rs1 million, Rohri taluka Nazim Syed Qasim Ali Shah announced Rs200,000 per year while MPA Dr Nasrullah Baloch and Syed Hussain Shah announced Rs250,000 each.
