Thrilling victory for Pakistan

KARACHI, March 27: Pakistan women cricketers levelled the seven-match One-day International (ODI) series when they beat West Indies by four runs in a thrilling contest at Asghar Ali Shah (AAS) Stadium Saturday.

Electing to bat first, Pakistan accumulated 163 for seven in their 50 overs. West Indies in response were dismissed for 159 in 49.2 overs.

It was brilliant fielding by Pakistan team which was instrumental in helping them in winning the match.

All-rounder Kiran Baloch, who slammed 47 off 80 balls with two boundaries and took one wicket 31 for runs was named Women of the Match.

Touring side took 2-0 lead in the series after winning the first ODI at National and second day/night match at AAS Stadium to go two-up in the series.

However Pakistan won third match at Karachi Gymkhana by 20 runs and fourth by four runs to level the series. The fifth match of the series will be played at KG Ground on Monday.
