Vietnamese president visits Taxila Museum

ISLAMABAD, March 25: Vietnamese president Tran Duc Luong, who is on a 3-day official tour to Pakistan, visited Taxila Museum on Thursday. He was accompanied by other members of his entourage and Minister for Industries and Production Liaquat Ali Jatoi.

According to a press release issued here, the Vietnamese president was warmly received by Rawalpindi District Nazim Tariq Kiani and In Charge of Taxila Museum Dr Ashraf.

Mr Tran was briefed by the museum deputy director on the history of Ghandara civilization. He was also informed that owing to its geographical position, Taxila was an important place in ancient times along the routes connecting India, Western Asia and Central Asia.
