BAHAWALPUR, March 22: The Jamaat-i-Islami staged a protest rally here on Monday against Israel for killing Hamas leader Shaikh Yasin.

The rally was led by MMA deputy parliamentary leader in the Punjab Assembly and JI's Punjab naib amir Dr Syed Waseem Akhtar and other leaders.

The participants in the rally, carrying banners and placards, raised slogans against the Israeli prime minister and the US president.

Addressing the rally, the JI leaders alleged that Israel had killed Shaikh Yasin under the patronage of America. They urged the government to lodge a protest with the United Nations and the US against Israel for this killing.

SHEIKHUPURA: JI activists also staged a protest rally in front of the Sheikhupura Press Club against the killing of the Hamas leader.
