KARACHI: Four die in road accidents

KARACHI, March 22: Four persons, including a seven-year-old girl, were killed in road accidents in different areas of the city on Monday.

According to the police, a motorcyclist Jahanzeb, 37, was run over by a recklessly driven truck (KAR-8210) in Shershah. Jahanzeb died on the spot. His body was shifted to a hospital for autopsy.

In Sachal goth, a seven-year-old girl died and her sister and mother were injured in an accident. Police said that a private car (CK-8193) hit Nazia, her sister Nadia and her mother Malika. All the three injured were taken to a hospital, where doctors pronounced Nazia dead. Police claimed to have arrested the errant driver of the car.

In Harronabad, two persons were knocked down to death while another was injured in an accident. Police said that a motorcyclist Mustafa, 45, and his 12-year- old son, Zeeshan, were crushed to death by a truck. Ali Murad, 36, who was also on the bike, was injured in the accident.
