RAWALPINDI, March 21: The government has placed all the airports in the country on 'red alert', a second time since the ongoing Wana military operation against suspected Al Qaeda militants started, official sources told Dawn on Sunday.
The Airport Security Force has been placed on red alert at all airports, including the Islamabad International Airport, a security official said.
"The state of red alert is always higher than the high alert. Tightened security would ensure the safety of passengers," he said.
