Pakistan, Qatar sign MoU on air traffic

ISLAMABAD, March 19: The government of Pakistan and State of Qatar signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) here on Friday.

According to a press release, the MoU will help enhance air traffic and facilitate the travelling of passengers between the two Muslim countries.

The two sides agreed to enhance the frequencies framework for both countries in either direction. The MoU provides that both Qatar Airways and PIA shall enter into a bilateral code sharing agreement to the mutual benefit of the two countries.

The Pakistani delegation was led by Maj-Gen (retired) Muhammad Ashraf Chaudhry, the additional secretary for the ministry of defence, and signed MoU on behalf of Government of Pakistan. Whereas the Qatar delegation was represented by Abdul Aziz Mohammad Al Noaimi, the chairman and managing director of Civil Aviation Authority, Doha, Qatar.
