No foul play in ticket sales: PCB chief

By Our Special Correspondent

PESHAWAR, March 18: The talk is about tickets, or lack of them. The head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Shaharyar M. Khan, says there has been no foul play in ticket sales with even President General Pervez Musharraf paying to watch Tuesday's match in Rawalpindi.

"The president directed his staff to make a payment of Rs 4500 for three tickets to the PCB that was promptly done," Shaharyar said. "If the President of Pakistan does this, why can't everybody else," asked the PCB chairman.

He took pains to clarify that no wrong had been done in ticket sales. We keep some tickets for important people but that does not mean they do not pay." Prime Minister Zafarullah Khan Jamali has also asked for some 15 tickets and he too will pay.
