HYDERABAD, March 18: The Jeay Sindh Muttahida has condemned arrests of JSQM leaders and raids on the houses of JSMM leader Singhar Noonari and JSQM leaders Sarmad Mirani, Arbab Khuhawar and Rooplo Choliyani.

In a joint statement issued here on Thursday, JSMM chairman Shafi Mohammad Burfat and general secretary Asghar Shah said that on the one hand the rulers were commissioning disputed water projects and, on the other, they were not prepared to even tolerate the peaceful protest of the Sindh people.

They warned that if the harassment of the nationalist parties was not stopped, a protest movement would be launched throughout the province.

Congratulation: The zonal in-charge of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Mr Arshad Shah MPA and members of the zonal committee, in a joint statement issued here on Thursday have congratulated the MQM chief, Mr Altaf Hussain and the downtrodden masses of the country on the 20th anniversary of the founding of the party.

They said March 18 stood for the "day of revolution" when Quaid-e-Tehrik had announced a crusade against the feudal system. They said that despite state terrorism and negative propaganda, the MQM is continuing its struggle against injustices and for the rights of the poor people. They reaffirmed their confidence and faith in the leadership of Quaid-e-Tehrik.
