QUETTA, March 18: A bomb exploded near the Shahbaz town area late Thursday night but it caused no loss of life or damage to property, officials said.
Police said some unidentified people had hurled a home-made explosive device near a government office.
Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Yusuf has taken serious notice of such incidents in Quetta. Stressing the need for improvement in police performance, he said that negligence would not be tolerated, adding police officials concerned would be suspended wherever such incidents occurred.
