SIALKOT, March 18: Two dacoits and a constable were killed while another constable was injured in an encounter in Kaadiyanwali village of Pasrur tehsil on Thursday.

Police said two unidentified dacoits were fleeing towards Dheerokey Pulli after looting various passers-by when Tharo Mandi check post's constables Tazeem Akhtar and Shahnawaz started chasing them.

The dacoits opened firing, killing Tazeem Akhtar on the spot and injuring Shahnawaz. Later, they took refuge into fields near Kaadiyanwali-Phalora village.

Meanwhile, a heavy contingent of police reached there and surrounded the fields. After exchange of firing from 1130am to 0230pm, the two dacoits were killed. The condition of Constable Shahnawaz was stated to be critical at Pasrur THQ Hospital.

DACOITIES, THEFTS: Two cars and four motorcycles were taken away by dacoits, robbers and thieves in the district who also looted other valuables, worth of hundreds of thousands of rupees, during the last 24 hours.

Two dacoits took away the new car (No STM-8900) of exporter Inayat from Kung Bariyar village in Daska tehsil. Another two dacoits snatched Rs50,000, two mobile phones and gold chains, worth of Rs100,000 from Zahid and Nasir in Adaalat Garha, Uggoki area.

Three dacoits snatched gold ornaments, cash and other valuables, worth of Rs35,000, from the passengers of a Sialkot-bound wagon in Malluh Chitt village, Sialkot Saddar.

Two armed men deprived trader Malik Nisar of his motorcycle (No LOQ 8867) and Rs50,000 near Shehzada village in Pasrur tehsil. Another two dacoits looted gold ornaments, cash and other valuables, worth of Rs100,000 from the house of Muhammad Arshad in Bolla Moosa village in Daska.

Four dacoits stormed into the house of trader Majeed Amjad, help up the family, and fled away with gold ornaments, cash and other valuables, worth of Rs150,000, in Adaalat Garah, Uggoki area.

Two robbers deprived Ameen Ahmad of his motorcycle (No BNA 4012), Rs10,000 and a mobile phone in Keerwali on Uggoki Road. Thieves took away the car (LOY-3043) of a police constable Saira Farah from Jalliyaanwala village.Two dacoits snatched gold ornaments and cash, worth of Rs100,000, from Malik Ashraf in Bijli Ghar Muhallah, Hajipura.

Thieves took away the motorcycle (No VRE 2487) of Malik Nawaz from Ghauspura area of Sialkot city. Thieves also took away the motorcycle (No STL 4036) of Sajjad from outside the office of tehsildar in Sialkot district courts.
