ISLAMABAD, March 16: The Pakistan People's Party has lodged a complaint with the National Accountability Bureau, demanding a probe into the taking over of plots bay the management of Park View Housing Society, Lahore.
According to a press release, MNA Nayyar Bokhari had lodged the complaint on behalf of the PPP, and asked the NAB to file a reference against the respondents, including the Punjab provincial minister of information technology, Alimullah Khan, for violating Section 9 of the NAB Ordinance.
Giving details of the scam, Mr Bokhari said the PVHS management, in a single meeting, took over 150 to 185 plots on the grounds that the members had not paid the development charges.
The members were deprived of their plots on the pretext that notices were sent to their last known addresses to pay the development charges. These notices were not followed by any reminders, he added.
The MNA said after some time, the plots were confiscated without going through any legal procedure as no fore closure rules were applied by the management.
Demanding an investigation into, Mr Bokhari stated that "the Punjab minister for information technology, Alimullah Khan, is the PVHS secretary and the land development is thought to be his means of ascendancy."
