Regular hearing of Mir case urged

KARACHI, March 16: The PPP-SB's central committee, at a meeting at 70 Clifton here on Tuesday, expressed concern over the inordinate delay in the proceedings of the murder case of the party's founding chairman, Mir Murtaza Bhutto, and some of his colleagues.

A resolution passed at the meeting, presided over by the party's chairperson, Ms Ghinwa Bhutto, said the delay was creating suspicion. It urged the government to cancel the bails of the police officials allegedly involved in the murder.

Demanding arrest of all the accused police officials, the meeting demanded that the trial proceedings be held regularly as directed by the Sindh High Court. The meeting also discussed the political situation obtaining in the country.
