LAHORE, March 15: The Punjab Employees Housing Foundation will start development of the first colony for the retiring provincial government employees on Multan Road here by mid-April.
Provincial housing secretary Riaz Ahmad stated this at a meeting of the board of directors of the foundation held here on Monday with chief secretary Kamran Rasool in the chair. The development of the second colony would begin at Faisalabad.
He said the foundation planned to develop the colonies for the retiring employees at all the district headquarters and big cities. Suitable sites for the proposed colonies had already been identified at most of the district headquarters and big cities.
He said houses of a number of designs would be built in accordance with the choice of the employee. All the schemes would have necessary facilities like water supply, electricity, gas and telephone
The National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK) representatives also briefed the participants in the meeting about the development plans of the proposed housing schemes and facilities planned to be provided there.
