By Our Correspondent

KHAIRPUR, March 14: Ten armed men kidnapped four villagers from Khedo and Gulo villages, Khairpur taluka, late on Saturday night. The district police officer, who had gone after the kidnappers with the Babarloi police, claimed that the hostages - Shahnawaz, Amanullah, Habibullah and Dilawar - had been recovered after an encounter.

ELECTROCUTED: A youth, Abid Burdi, was electrocuted late on Saturday when he came in contact with a live wire of 11,000kv that had fallen in a banana field near Allahdad Burdi village.

Villagers complained that officials of the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company were informed of the fallen wire a few days back but they failed to correct the situation. They demanded that the family of the victim should be given compensation.

SUICIDE: A student of class X, Adil Sehto, committed suicide by hanging himself in Mirzapur village near Halani, a bordering town of the district, late on Saturday evening. The deceased student was said to have taken such action because of some domestic problem.
