No ban on NGOs, says minister

By Our Correspondent

SWABI, March 13: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal government will hold a conference of non-governmental organizations in Peshawar in April to encourage welfare-oriented bodies.

The government has not imposed any ban on NGOs, rather it supported all NGOs which worked for welfare of the people, said provincial minister Hafiz Hashmat Khan at the oath-taking ceremony of the Samajee Behbood Rabta Council (SBRC) here on Saturday.

MMA MNA Mohammad Usman and MPA Abdul Majid Khan, ANP MPA Amir Rehman and Swabi Qaumi Mahaz MPA Dr Mohammad Salim also assured support to the NGOs on the occasion.
