LAHORE, March 13: A 94-member delegation of the Lahore High Court Bar Association is scheduled to visit India from March 23.

The LHCBA members are paying the week-long visit on the invitation of the Punjab-Haryana Bar Association president, Dr Anmol Rattan Sidhu, who came to Pakistan in January this year.

Justice Khwaja Muhammad Sharif, Punjab Bar Council's vice-chairperson Tanvir Randhawa, former vice-chairmen Ramazan Chaudhry and Ehsanul Haq Bhalli, Pir Masood Chishti, Lahore High Court's former judge Zahid Bokhari and LHCBA's Rawalpindi bench president Malik Muhammad Nawaz are the prominent members of the delegation.

Punjab Bar Council's former vice-chairperson Arif Chaudhry, who is organizing the tour, said the LHCBA members would be the guests of the Bars of Amritsar, Ludhiana, Patiala and Chandigarh during their stay in these Indian Punjab cities. They would also visit Simla, once the summer capital of India.

Indian Punjab Chief Minister Amrinder Singh, Haryana Chief Minister and a former Maharaja of Patiala Mr Chutilala would host receptions for the LHCBA delegation.

Most members of the delegation are scheduled to return on March 30 after visiting the Golden Temple at Amritsar.

Some members will later visit New Delhi and Agra, according to Arif Chaudhry.
