PPP slams govt

By Our Reporter

KARACHI, March 7: President, Pakistan People's Party, Sindh chapter, Nisar Khuhro, on Sunday slammed the provincial government for failing to apprehend the killers of Abdullah Murad, who was gunned down in Malir area on Saturday.

Talking to mourners at the residence of Abdullah Murad, Mr Khuhro declared that after three days of mourning, the party would decide its future course of action after consulting other political parties.

Mr Khuhro alleged that some elements within the government were shedding crocodile tears over the killing. He said the government must admit that it had failed to protect life and property of people and alleged that it was the result of establishment's policy of imposing 'terrorist' elements.

The PPP's Karachi Coordination Committee said the government could not absolve itself of the responsibility regarding the killing. On Monday, the PPP would hold protest in Lyari and other district south areas to condemn the killings.
