KARACHI, March 6: Zafar Ahmed Khan Sherwani, the District and Sessions Judge (East) who has been appointed Inquiry Officer in the murder case of Sassi and Hajira - two minor girls of Gadap - on Saturday issued notice to public prosecutor for March 8.

The judge has also summoned police file and case papers. The two girls had been kidnapped while they had gone to collect fire wood. Later, their bodies were recovered from a place adjacent to the Gadap police station.

Autopsy reports suggested that the victims were also subjected to criminal assault before being killed.

A number of police personnel, including SHO Riaz Phulpotto, have been arrested to face different charges in the case. However, the prime suspect is still at large. -APP
