KARACHI, March 6: Corps Commander Lt-Gen Ahsan Saleem Hyat has exhorted the officers and men to concentrate on grassroots level of training, says an ISPR press release issued here on Saturday.

He urged to sharpen initiative and mental faculties of young officers and non commissioned officers so that they could take bold decisions at tactical level.

He was speaking on the occasion of presentation of the National Standard and Regimental Colour to a battalion of the Sindh Regiment at the Chhor Cantonment on Friday.

The Corps Commander paid rich tribute to the professional excellence demonstrated by the battalion on various occasions.

Earlier, in a simple but impressive ceremony, Lt-Gen Hyat presented the National Standard and Regimental Colour to the battalion.

General Officer Commanding Maj-Gen Tariq Masood and the Commandant of the Sindh Regimental Centre were also present on the occasion along with a large number of serving and retired officers and men.
