SUKKUR: Two women killed over Karo-kari

SUKKUR, March 6: Two women were killed over Karo-kari in Daharki taluka, Ghotki district, on Saturday. Nihar Jatoi tied his wife with the bed and electrocuted her in the Mir Mohammad Shar village.

In another incident, Bachal axed his wife Salma to death in Wasti Jeevan Shah and fled after committing the crime.

JSQM: There was no response to the JSQM's strike call in Sukkur city and Pano Akil town.

However, strike was observed in Rohri, Khairpur, Setharja, Gambat, Piryaloi, Pir-jo-Goth and other towns that remained closed throughout the day.

A partial strike was also observed in Ghotki, Daharki, Salehpat, and other areas.

JSQM activists pelted stones over the vehicular traffic on the Nawabshah-Kumb road as a result it was closed for about eight hours.
