RAWALPINDI, March 4: Three persons including a woman were killed in separate incidents in Rawalpindi and Islamabad on Thursday, police said. In the first incident, Zona Bibi and her 10-year-old granddaughter were crossing a road when a speeding car (MI-5670) hit them.

Zona Bibi died on the spot while her granddaughter sustained injuries. The car driver was arrested, however, the deceased woman's relatives do not want to lodge an FIR against him, the police said.

In another incident, Mohammad Ayub, was killed after being run over by a car (AJKC-2478) in the jurisdiction of Westridge Police Station on Thursday, police said. Ayub was crossing the road when a speeding car hit him. He died on the spot.

Meanwhile, an employee of the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco) was electrocuted while his colleague received burn injuries at Kalar Saidan on Thursday, police said.

Sajid Haroon and Imran were repairing the electricity lines when they suffered electric shock. As a result, Sajid was killed on the spot while his colleague sustained critical burn injuries.
