QUETTA, March 3: Governor Balochistan Owais Ahmed Ghani, Chief Minister Jam Mir Mohammad Yousuf and Corps Commander, Quetta, Lt-Gen Shahid Hamid on Wednesday visited areas affected by Tuesday's terrorist attack.

They toured the areas where a large number of commercial, public and private property was ransacked and burnt. Meanwhile, the Balochistan governor expressed grief over the terrorist act and termed it an inhuman act, saying it did not serve Islam, adding whoever had committed the crime could not be called Muslims and they were enemies of religion.

He said that the people of Balochistan had long lived peacefully, adding there was no problem of sectarianism. The people involved in the tragic incident were from outside the province, the governor said, adding terrorists involved in it would be arrested soon.

Promising strict action against criminals involved in the incident, the governor said that the president had instituted a probe into the incident. He urged upon the people to maintain unity and in their ranks and jointly struggles against terrorists and enemy of Islam and foils their nefarious designs.

The provincial home minister, Mir Shoaib Nausherwani, also condemned the incident, assuring that terrorists involved in the incident would not be spared.

Alluding to Iran's involvement in the incident, he said the government would deal sternly with anti-social elements, adding the government would protect the life and property of the people. Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly Jamal Shah Kakar and Deputy Speaker Aslam Bhootani also condemned the incident.
