Pakistan-Saudi naval exercise concludes
KARACHI, March 1: The annual joint exercise of Pakistan and Saudi Arabian navy concluded here on Monday.
Designated as Seapark and Naseem-al-Behar, the exercise involved submarines, surface ships and aircraft in firepower demonstration.
Defence Minister Rao Sikandar Iqbal and Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz, along with Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Shahid Karimullah, witnessed the demonstration.
Pakistan Navy had mobilized all assets and personnel in the exercise which involved activation of forward operation bases, dispersal sites and command and control centres in the coastal areas.
The main objective of the exercise was to assess the operational preparedness of the two navies.
