Petroleum prices raised


KARACHI, Feb 29: The Sub-Committee of the Oil Companies Advisory Committee (OCAC) here on Sunday announced a 0.96 per cent increase in the price of motor spirit revised to Rs. 34.80 per litre from Rs 34.47 available till Sunday.

The sub-committee reviewing the prices of various petroleum products also increased the price of HOBC from Rs38.44 per litre to Rs38.74 per litre, a Rs0.30 raise coming to O.78 per cent.

1.03 per cent increase was made in Kerosene Oil coming to Rs. 22.41 against Rs.22.18 per litre (1.03 per cent raise). The cost of Light Diesel Oil also witnessed a surge from Rs. 19.84 per litre to Rs. 19.91 per litre (0.35 per cent).

Abid Saeed Ibrahim, Secretary General, Oil Companies Advisory Committee in a press release said that OCAC has notified the revised maximum ex-depot sales price at 29 designated locations effective from March 1, 2004.

NO CHANGE: There has been no change in the per litre price of High Speed Diesel (HSD) for the next 15 days, a spokesman of Pakistan State Oil (PSO) said here. He said that the price of HSD remains the same at Rs. 23.77 per litre for the next 15 days effective from Monday. -APP
