LAHORE, Feb 29: Chief Minister Pevaiz Elahi has taken serious notice of a complaint made by Ayub Khan of Chakwal district regarding non-apprehension of the accused involved in the murder of his brothers.

The CM has directed that the criminals involved in the heinous crime must be arrested within a fortnight and compliance report is submitted accordingly.

In his application, he had alleged that his elder brother Mehboob Khan had been murdered by Shabbir Hussain, son of Manzoor Husain, on May 1, 2001, while on Sept 13, 2003, his other brother Ameer Khan was also killed.

Taking serious notice of the fact that the accused involved in the gruesome killings have not so far been arrested, the CM ordered the Chakwal DPO that criminals must be arrested within two weeks and a detailed report be submitted to the Chief Minister Secretariat in this regard. -APP
