KARACHI, Feb 29: A 32-year-old housewife committed suicide in her house in the Site area on Sunday. The police said Khalida had hanged herself by tying an electric wire from the ceiling fan.

The police attributed the suicide to her being childless and suffering from depression.

KILLED: A 40-year-old labourer was killed by unknown persons in Goharabad near the New Sabzi Mandi, police officials said on Sunday. They said the murder victim, identified as Villayat, was strangulated to death with the help of a sheet of cloth. The deceased's body was shifted to the JPMC for postmortem examination.

DROWNS: A four-year-old boy drowned after falling into an underground water tank in the Surjani Town. The boy, Aziz, was last seen playing in the house. His relatives had found the body in the water tank.
