Kashmiri leader released
SRINAGAR, Feb 28: After spending over two years in jail senior Kashmiri separatist leader Sheikh Abdul Aziz was released on Saturday.
"I will work hard for the unity of the Kashmiri separatist leadership," Mr Aziz told AFP from his residence in Pampore.
He travelled to Srinagar after the release from a jail in Jammu after spending 30 months behind bars. Sheikh Aziz, a Pro-Pakistan separatist who heads the influential People's League, was booked under India's tough Public Safety Act for taking part in anti-national activities.
