GUJRANWALA, Feb 27: A local court on Friday acquitted city tehsil council Naib Nazim Ehsanullah Chaudhry in a murder case.

According to the prosecution, Ehsanullah, his brothers Imranullah and UC Nazim Nomanullah and nephew Luqmanullah had killed shopkeeper Ehtasham Ahmad for not vacating the rented shop in Baghbanpura on Sept 2 last year.

The police arrested Ehsanullah when his brothers and nephew could not be arrested. However, police sent the chargesheet to court for his trial. Judge Nazir Ahmad acquitted him when the prosecution could not prove the charges against him. However, the court declared his brothers and nephew as proclaimed offenders.

BISE: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Gujranwala, established 'control rooms' in all district and tehsil headquarters throughout the division in connection with the secondary school certificate annual examinations, 2004.

The main control room was established in board's complex in the office of board chairman. BISE chairman Dr Muhammad Aslam Ghari said here on Friday that the annual examination was to be started from March 6 while the roll number slips had already been sent to candidates at their respective addresses.
