HYDERABAD: Two awarded life term

By Our Correspondent

HYDERABAD, Feb 25: The Anti-Terrorism Court judge Syed Ali Ashraf Shah on Tuesday sentenced two absconding accused, Akbar Depar and Ghaffar Chandio, to life imprisonment in a double murder case.

They each will have to pay a fine of Rs125,000. The accused had murdered police constables Ali Akbar and Nawabuddin on March 8, 2002, in the jurisdiction of Faridabad police station in Mehar taluka.

The policemen had challenged them during an armed robbery on the Sojharo link road. The court acquitted two imprisoned accused, Akram Mahesar and Akhtar Deepar, in the same case.

BODY FOUND: The body of a three-year-old girl, Dua Shoro, was found in the underground water tank of her house in Happy Homes on Tuesday. Dua Shoro was missing for the last 7-8 days. The matter had been reported to the Qasimabad police by her father, Saleem Shoro.
