Case registered against PONM activists


ISLAMABAD, Feb 23: The Capital police have registered a case against 25 activists of 'Pakistan Oppressed Nationalist Movement' (PONM) for violating section 144, the police source said on Monday.

According to the police, these activists raised anti- government slogans and tried to fan linguistic and provincial discrimination.

The activists against whom the FIR has been lodged are Sanaullah Baloch, Mehmood Achakzai, Raza Ahmad Raza, Asfandyar Wali, Hameed Asghar, Dr Qadir Magsi, Tahir Mehmood, Saadia Abbasi, Prof Sajid Mir, Ataullah Mengal, Mohammad Ikram, Tariq Mehmood, Azizullah, Abdullah Bhutto, Habib Jalib, Sardar Ali, Mumtaz Ali Khan, Nisar Mazloom, Karimullah, Manzoor Ahmad, Syed Zain Shah, Abdul-Hai Baloch, Rasool Bux Palejo, Abdul Hameed Kanjo and Zarar Shah. -APP
