KARACHI: Parents urged to watch children's progress

KARACHI, Feb 23: The Defence Housing Authority institutions are imparting education in an atmosphere which is conducive for overall development of students' personalities, to make them confident and enlightened individuals.

This was stated by DHA Education Director Brig Muzaffarul Hasan at the annual prize distribution and parents' day function of the Defence Authority Degree College held on Monday.

Mr Hasan said the edifice of education rested on trio comprising students, teachers and parents and stressed that they all should work harmoniously for overall success of the system.

He reminded the teachers of their role in shaping the destiny of their pupils, and asked the students to devote themselves for the pursuit of studies. Besides, he viewed that parents must keep track of their children's academic progress.

Earlier, the Principal, Brig Muhammad Ali Javed, presenting the annual report of the college, said that the institution was striving for academic distinction and inculcating discipline among its students.

The students, on the occasion, demonstrated a high standard of physical fitness in various athletic and gymnastic events. An excellent karate show was also presented that was appreciated by spectators. - PPI
