DADU, Feb 21: Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz activists continued hunger strike across Sindh on Saturday in support of their colleagues observing a hunger strike unto death in Karachi against the construction of Kalabagh dam and greater Thal canal.
A hunger strike camp was established here which was visited by party chairman Basheer Qureshi.
Speaking on the occasion, he warned if any worker starved to death, an FIR would be registered against President Gen Pervez Musharraf.
Mr Qureshi said the JSQM activists would continue hunger strike unto death until, what he called the anti-Sindh projects, were abandoned.
He said the Seraiki belt was a natural ally of Sindh and Seraiki people were opposed to the greater Thal canal and Kalabagh dam.
He said water for the greater Thal canal would be diverted from Sindh's share to cultivate thousands of acres of barren lands owned by army officials. He said not a single drop of water would be given to Seraiki people.
He alleged that the federal government wanted to occupy Balochistan sea through Gwadar port after exploiting the inland resources of the province for decades.
Earlier, the JSQM workers took out a procession from the municipal park to the press club against the construction of greater Thal canal and Kalabagh dam.
HYDERABAD: Activists of the Jeay Sindh Students Federation took out a procession from the Arts Faculty, Sindh University.
