THATTA, Feb 21: Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister Shaikh Rashid Ahmad has said relations with India are improving and stressed the need for a dialogue on the contentious issues.

He added a realistic approach and a flexible behaviour on the part of India was what could resolve the issues.

He was talking to journalists in Makli here on Friday where he had arrived to attend Valima of the son of Pir Ghulam Jilani.

He said there were no restrictions on Pakistan People's Party chairperson Benazir Bhutto to return to the country but she would have to face judicial trial.

He said the government was taking steps to arrest the people involved in terrorist activities.

Referring to the nuclear issue, he said allegations levelled against President Gen Pervez Musharraf by Ms Bhutto carried no weight

He said out of 6,200 nuclear scientists, only four were under investigation.

About the blast at a school in Chilas, the minister questioned how the literacy rate could be increased when girls were not being allowed to get education through such tactics.

Terming the greater Thal canal and the Kalabagh dam beneficial water projects, he claimed barren lands of Sindh would become fertile after construction of the projects.
