LAHORE, Feb 18: A 19-memberPakistan swimming team was announced on Wednesday to take part in the ninth SAF Games to be held at Islamabad from March 29 to April 7.
The team was picked after holding two-day trials at Islamabad on Monday and Tuesday. The PSF secretary Kamran Butt said that the dope test ofthree swimmers, who were named in the list of 19 - Mumtaz Ahmad, Zulifqar Ali and Atif Khawaja - would be conducted beforeFeb 29.
He said that according to the manual of the games, 26seats hadbeen allocated to PSF for male but the federation had selected 19 players out of which 14 belong to Army, two Navy, one Wapda and two from Punjab. Trials to select women team for the same event would beheld on Feb 24, he said.

Freestyle: Mumtaz Ahmad, Mehboob Ali, Adil Baig, Haji Muhammad, Muhammad Anwar, Muhammad Khan, Liaqat Ali, Rauf Hussain (Army), Usman Javaid (Punjab).
Backstroke: Imdad Ali, Faiz Muhammad (Army), Atif Khawaja (Wapda), Muhammad Zahid (Navy).
Butterfly: Zulifqar Ali, Muhammad Ibrahim (Army), Ali Gul (Navy).
Breaststroke: Abdul Aziz (Punjab), Munir Hussain (Army). Individual medley: Nisar Ahmed (Army).
