Arshad grabs six wickets

LAHORE, Feb 16: Former Test off-spinner Arshad Khan captured six for 57 to help Peshawar curtail Lahore to a first innings total of 236 on the opening day of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy match at the Sheikhupura Stadium.

For Lahore, opener Salman Butt struck 122 off 204 balls before Test paceman Umar Gul had him caught by substitute Noor-ul-Amin. Umar took three for 70.

By close of play, Peshawar, who are without skipper Younis Khan, found themselves in trouble at 50 for four with the left-arm paceman Mohammad Khalil taking three for 28.
