ISLAMABAD, Feb 14: The Indian High Commission has asked the visa applicants to collect their passports as soon as possible from the visa collection point of the high commission on any working day between 10am and 5pm.

A press release issued here on Saturday said several visa applicants had informed the HC that they were unable to access its telephone numbers to ascertain the status of their application.

"We, therefore, seek to inform them that visa applications with the receipt numbers are ready for collection from the Visa Wing," the announcement said.

Applicants who desire to check the status of their applications may write to the visa officer, High Commission of India, G-5, Diplomatic Enclave, Islamabad along with a stamped self-addressed envelope or post card. The enquiry might also indicate whether applicant wished the passport to be returned by a courier.
