Test reject Afridi in KCCA team

KARACHI, Feb 13: All-rounder Shahid Afridi was on Friday named by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) appointed selection committee for the 14-member squad to represent Karachi Region in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy matches.

According to a press release issued by PCB the squad also include former Test players Hasan Raza and Shahdab Kabir. Tauseef Siddiqi and Sadiq Muhammad will be the manager and coach of the team.

Karachi Region will play their first One-day on Sunday and four-day match from Monday. Moin Khan and Danesh Kaneria are not available for first match whereas Nasir Khan will replace Arif Mahmood for four-day match.

The players have been advised to report at 8:00am on Sunday at National Stadium.

Squad: Shahid Afridi, Shadab Kabir, Faisal Iqbal, Asim Kamal, Hasan Raza, Farhan Adil, Ahmed Zeeshan, Mohammad Sami, Tanvir Ahmed, Tahir Khan, Arif Mahmood/Nasir Khan, Saeed Bin Nasir, Nomanullah.
