PCB asks BCCI to clear doubts

LAHORE, Feb 13: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has contacted Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) asking it to confirm its team would tour Pakistan in March-April, following statements from some Indian ministers , which cast renewed doubts on team's visit.

PCB chairman Shaharyar M. Khan said on Friday that he had sent a message to BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya after attempts to contact him failed. Shaharyar suggested that the issue of Indian team's tour should be included in the dialogues, which were scheduled to be held at foreign secretaries level between the two countries from Feb 16.

The tour can help both the countries get more positive results, he said stressing Pakistan would not accept any proposal for playing the series at a neutral venue.

Pakistan had played a series against Australia and the West Indies in 2002 at Colomobo and Sharjah.
